Roasted Chickpeas


This is an amazing snack that is so good for you. Chickpeas are high in many nutrients, including fiber, protein, and phosphorus. All of these nutrients are essential for the health of your teeth. They also contain no sugar, which means snacking on them won't harm your teeth and cause cavities.


 Ingredients: 
  • 2 15 oz cans of chickpeas 
  • 1/4 cup olive oil 
  • 1 tsp sea salt 
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder 
  • 1/2 tsp cumin 
  • 3/4 tsp paprika 
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder 
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder 
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 
  • sea salt to taste 
  1. Preheat oven to 425F. 
  2. Empty chickpeas into a paper towel lined strainer. Let air dry for 10-15 minutes. 
  3. Place chickpeas on parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sea salt, stir to combine. 
  4. Place in oven, cook for 20-25 minutes stirring every 5 minutes until chickpeas are golden brown. As chickpeas cook they will pop. 
  5. As chickpeas are cooking, mix remaining spices. 
  6. Remove chickpeas from oven, and mix hot chickpeas with spices.  
  7. Enjoy immediately for best results.
